What is Feminine Self-Leadership and why is it important?

I have been in love with the concept of Self-Leadership since I have first heard about it! Simply because it expresses in one word what I believe to be so important – for your career and life: Self Observation and Self Management. Here is a super short definition:

Self-leadership is the process by which you influence yourself to achieve your objectives.

But don't be mislead by the term leadership. It doesn't concern professional leadership only, it is about becoming the CEO of your entire life, including your health, your career, and your relationships. It is about becoming aware what you need and want and then going for it in every aspect of your life.

But how can Self-Leadership be achieved?

In order for you to know what you really want, and what your talents are you need some introspection.

Turn off the buzz from the outside world and tune in with yourself.

All it takes is a couple of minutes a day of silence. Close your eyes, be present, and take a few deep breaths. Then start journaling by asking yourself all the questions you would like to have an answer to. "What do I really want to do professionally?" "What am I really expecting of a relationship?" "How do I want to feel?" Be patient with yourself, sometimes, no answer will be the answer. Just trust that one day, you will wake up and just know.

Also ask yourself the question "How can I be of service to others and the planet?", this will help you find your purpose and divert the attention away from your personal story and to find out about your talents. Don't forget that it is your duty to share them with the world :)!

In Ayurveda, we believe that where Intention goes, Energy flows.

Journalling will help you direct your intention. Try it and see for yourself how well it works. When it comes to the "make it happen part", I like the idea of using our feminine strengths of listening to our intuition, building relationships, and surrendering instead of just pushing and forcing an outcome. We sometimes (or actually most of the time) don't know and can't know what the exact outcome has to look like for us. So the less we are attached to a particular outcome, the better the outcome can be :).
