Belly Dance & Sisterhood Circle Workshop in Miami

SAVE THE DATE, LADIES.

I will be teaching this workshop on

Saturday, September, 15 from 5-7pm, 35 dollars at INHALE MIAMI

Level: all levels welcome, no previous dance experience required

What to wear: comfy clothing and if you like a pair of nice earrings or some other jewellery or head piece - whatever you like to adorn yourself :)

Description:

First part: BELLY DANCE

We will dance a beautiful little choreo to a cool and inspiring song!

Let me introduce you to this ancient dance form that originates in the Middle East that I like to adorn with elements from Flamenco, Hip Hop, and Sacred Temple Dance. I promise it will touch your heart and soul :)! I strongly believe in the power of the heart when it comes to dancing. So don't worry if you are not good with choreography (I am neither :)) or if you have never done anything like this before, this dance is truly for everyone. And it will reconnect you to a deeply rooted feminine wisdom and force. I cannot wait to dance with you!

Second Part: SISTERHOOD CIRCLE – reconnect to your feminine wisdom

When women get together, incredible things happen

Women need sisterhood to recharge their energies and their feminine wisdom!

We will do a whomb meditation – the most powerful center of feminine wisdom and we will look at Ayurvedic practices to bring in more feminine softness and sweetness into your life in this masculine- and performance-oriented society. Ayurveda is the most ancient healing system on the planet, it is completely natural and it is the lesser known sister science of Yoga.

Bio

I was born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, and dance has always been a part of my life. I started very early with Ballet, then went on to Jazz Dance and finally found my passion for Belly Dance, Tribal Fusion & Sacred Temple Dances. And I have met the most incredible women through dance. I have trained with the best teachers in the Middle East, Turkey, and the Bay area and I have been teaching and performing my own Fusion Belly Dance Style around the world for over a decade. A lot of my fusion elements are influenced by my favorite teacher and dancer, Rachel Brice. But the most important lesson I have learned came from my first teacher, Margarete Pulver.

She may not be well-known but her legacy is nonetheless close to my heart: when she started dancing, she was 45 and she opened her dance school at 50. Today, she is over 70 and still my favorite dancer.

She taught me how age and looks do not matter and how every woman of every shape and background can find her beauty within and without through this precious dance form.

In honor of her teachings, I have been passing on this beautiful gift to all the ladies who have come to study with me. It is never too late to start. Let this dance open your heart to the beautiful being that you are!

I am looking forward to dancing with you!

Much love,
